After 17 years at our Goodwood Road location, Model Flight has opened a brand-new RC retail store in Marleston, Adelaide! Following unforeseen fire damage at the neighbouring property, we’ve moved into a bigger, brighter space at 4/250 Richmond Road. With more stock, easier parking, and the same expert RC advice, our new store is ready to welcome enthusiasts of RC planes, cars, boats, gliders and more. This is a fresh chapter and a must-visit for every RC hobbyist in South Australia.

On May 17th, 2025, a fire at a neighbouring property to our Goodwood Road retail store caused extensive ceiling and smoke damage. Sadly, after 17 memorable years at that location, the damage was too significant for us to stay, and we were forced to close our Goodwood doors.
Fire at GoodwoodThis didn't slow us down, though! Mike and Jamie worked hard to quickly rally, plan, and prepare to relocate our retail store, for only the 4th time in our 50-year history! With the help of our dedicated staff and incredible trade partners, Hobbas Lighting and Electrical and Imperial IPS Pty Ltd, we transformed a brand-new space in under six weeks. From careful unpacking to a speedy fit-out, every detail came together to create a store we’re truly proud of. It feels great to welcome the RC community into our fresh new space!

We have been very fortunate that the broader part of our online business and warehouse are located separately from our retail store, and we have been able to continue trading and servicing customers nationwide while preparing for the move.
