| Graupner/JR MX22 |
"In summary the MX22 is a transmitter capable of handling the programming tasks of extremely complex models of up to twelve channels with flexibility in physical control location.. The programming task is extremely logical., a task which is aided by the comprehensive instruction manual. With programmable transmitters simply knowing how to program the functions is one thing, knowing how to apply them to improve a model’s performance is something else and again this is where the manual excels with numerous examples of what functions are used for" Brian Green RCM News June 2004 |

What is PCM and PPM? |
| The PCM receiver is a digital receiver that
uses normal FM Frequency, but the signal is an encoded digital signal in which
the PCM receiver interprets it as commands. Since the signal is digital, if
there are any interference or the signal is poor, the PCM receiver can be
programmed to go into a fail-safe mode. In this mode, the servos will move to a
pre-programmed position until the signal comes back.
PPM receivers are the "standard" type of receiver for most
radios. Glitches in signal are immediately noticed by erratic movements of the
servos.
JR's computerised radios give you the best of both worlds with
each transmitter software switchable between PPM FM and PCM for superior
interference rejection.
