Funtana X 100 Overview

The new FuntanaX ARF is enhanced with design and structural upgrades that boast a fresh, progressive look and make it an extreme aerobatic performer to be reckoned with. Revolutionary SFG Technology™ allows pilots to achieve unlimited potential for sport and 3D flight—harriers, blenders, knife-edge, torque rolls and more. Removable Side Force Generators (SFG) give extra rudder authority and control to help you perform a virtually limitless display of extreme 3D and precision aerobatics.

The FuntanaX offer lightweight balsa and light plywood construction dressed in genuine UltraCote® covering for a vibrant look.

The new airfoil makes the FuntanaX 100 more stable in high alpha 3D flight and more precise in non-3D aerobatics.

The carbon fiber wing tube provides high strength with very low weight. Longer, lighter carbon fiber landing gear saves more weight and allows extra clearance for larger electric propellers.

Funtana X 100 Building Tips

Section 1: Aileron Installation

Step 7

I placed the SFG's on the wing to make sure that the aileron did not contact the SFG or the wing root at center or when deflected in either direction. Be sure to position the aileron so that it clears both the SFG and the wing root before using thin CA on the hinges.


Section 9: Final Assembly

The locations for these were already drilled on this kit. The locations in the stab simply needed to be located and then remove the covering with a hobby knife.

Be sure the supports are adequately glued in so they will not come loose later.
